Biography
Dan has gained a great deal of experience within the insurance and reinsurance market, both as an Underwriter and a broker.
After being awarded a degree in Business and Marketing, Dan then started his insurance career as a broker at Miller Insurance Services, where he worked in specialist coverages including contingency, terrorism, political risk and kidnap and ransom.
Dan developed and ultimately went on to take responsibility for the Miller in-house facility for Lottery Errors and Omissions. This represented more than 80% of the world’s lottery suppliers. In 2009, Dan moved into Underwriting at the Ark syndicate in Lloyd’s where he worked on the specialist programmes portfolio. He established and developed the syndicate’s Contingency portfolio as well as Underwriting a broader casualty book.
Dan founded Bretton Woods International Insurance Brokers in 2015 and this has been steadily building its size and reputation for technical specialty, excellent client service and strong market relationships.
Biography
Paul has 18 years’ experience as an insurance broker working in a range of specialist classes of insurance for clients based in the USA and internationally.
Paul is a graduate of the University of York and the College of Law, London. Paul started his career at Humphreys Haggas Sutton & Co which went on to become the core of the Integro London office. At Integro Paul was the Managing Principal leading the Management Risk, Healthcare and US Casualty practices.
With an excellent reputation with key carriers both in London and internationally, Paul brings a wealth of experience in nurturing lasting relationships between clients and (re)insurers. He has a strong record in tailoring insurance solutions for programs to the largest clients and high-profile clients, including product development to satisfy specific requirements.
Biography
Craig has in excess of 35 years experience in the Lloyd's and Company markets. He originally started in 1985 at Stewart Wrightson which was subsequently purchased by Willis Faber in 1987. Then followed 15 years at HSBC (Insurance) and 15 years at Tysers.
Craig lead the Special Programs team within Tysers North America with a focus on delegated binding authorities. His affiliation with numerous Associations goes back in excess of 20 years with continuity, in addition to innovation being at the forefront of all relationships. In addition to binding authorities, Craig works closely with a number of domestic carriers to provide reinsurance in order that admitted paper is secured.
Craig has been a strong advocate of the subscription market and brings strong underwriter relationships to Bretton Woods in Management Liability and US Casualty classes. If it doesn’t fit the regular box, he’ll work closely with clients to secure a solution.
Craig served on the London Insurance Brokers Committee (LIBC Non Marine) for 8 years through until 2018.
Biography
Wendy started her career in 1997 at Bowrings (now part of Marsh) as an Aviation Claims Broker.
In 2002 she joined to Miller Insurance Services where she managed the processing of the Special Risks Department. She also provided support to the Special Risks Broking Team in the day-to-day handling of accounts and provided prompt, accurate and efficient service to Clients and Insurers. She gained experience during this time on a varied number of insurance placements, including Wind Farms, Contingency and Political Risks insurance.
In 2005 Wendy joined the Marine Hull Team at Miller where she worked as a Senior Technician / Account Handler on accounts from Hong Kong, Germany, Greece, Ethiopia and Monaco. She was also responsible for their book of Chinese business through a broker in Hong Kong.
In 2016 Wendy joined the team at Bretton Woods International, where she is responsible for overseeing the business operations and management of the technical team.
During her career she has been heavily involved in a variety of areas which are core to ensuring Clients are serviced efficiently and effectively, such as Compliance, Accounting, training and testing / implementation of various IT systems.
Wendy strives to ensure that Bretton Woods International are always up to date with operational and system changes in the London Market to make certain that we are always prepared and that we are able to keep our Clients updated on the impact these changes may have on them.
Casualty and Contingency
Biography
Lewis started his career in 2008 as a broker at one of the market leaders for contingency insurance. Lewis worked on all areas of insurance for the music and entertainment industry before moving to another Lloyd’s broker in 2013. In 2015 Lewis joined Bretton Woods as a broker focusing on North American general & excess liability Sport and Entertainment facilities along with placing complex Contingency business.

Biography
Chloe joined Bretton Woods in 2017 when the company was in it’s infancy. She started her career as a Technician, supporting the broking team before transitioning to Broking herself. She specialises in North American Casualty Insurance placed via Binding Authority Agreements. Chloe is an experienced Lloyd’s Broker, with a robust technical background.
Professional Lines and Product Recall
Biography
Edward started his insurance career in May 2015 when he joined a London market MGA. During his time as an Underwriting Assistant, he gained experience within a specialised team focusing on US Professional and Management Liability before moving to a Lloyd’s broker in 2017. In September 2022, Edward joined Bretton Woods as a broker, focused on placing US Professional E&O, D&O, Financial Institutions, Plus Product Contamination/Recall Business.
Property
Biography
Louise has over 18 years of experience in the London Insurance market. She started at Denis M Clayton and then subsequently developed her career at JLT, TigerRisk and Howden before joining Bretton Woods to head up the Property team. Louise has had experience within various Delegated Authority teams and has worked on US High Net Worth, Personal Lines, Commercial and DIC business and well as other complementary product lines. In her new role, Louise is leading a high performing property team to develop new placing solutions within the London market.

Jack has been a broker in the Lloyd’s market for over 10 years with experience in placing multiple lines of business. Now specialising in US Property, Jack joined Bretton Woods as one of the founding members of the property binders team in November 2025.

Joe joined Bretton Woods International as part of the Property Binding Authority department. He has 10 years of experience in the London Market starting as a premium and claims technician at TigerRisk Partners before transitioning to P&C Binding Authority broking in 2020. In recent years, Joe has focussed on Homeowners, Commercial, Flood and Earthquake placements across the US as well as E&O casualty insurance.

Brett began his career at Benfield in 2002 and has extensive experience, over a 23-year period in the management of Casualty, E&O, Liability and Property risks. Brett joined Bretton Woods in 2025 as Claims Manager of the Property Team.
Brett works closely with Underwriters, DCA’s and Lawyers to ensure claims are handled accurately and efficiently for our clients.

Laura has been working in the London Market in the Technical area since 2007. During this time her focus has predominantly been on all technical aspects of Delegated Authority business, covering Property, Casualty, and Financial Lines within North America, Europe, and APAC. She also has experience assisting with Open Market business (Property, Liability, Contingency, and Med Mal, Retail and Wholesale); Facultative Reinsurance; and Treaty Reinsurance.
Most recently Laura spent 5 years building out a new Binding Authority Operations Team at TigerRisk Partners/Howden Re and she joined Bretton Woods in 2024 to help set up and run the operations team for their new Property Binding Authority department.

Claire joined Bretton Woods International in late 2024 and brings 16 years of experience to the property team in London. Claire started her insurance journey at Towers Perrin and has worked in multiple roles beginning as a secretary and now an Account Executive. Throughout the years, Claire has built up great relationships with clients and underwriters and will assist the property team to grow moving forward.
Fine Art and Specie
Biography
Having worked for over 20 years in the London insurance market, Neil brings extensive experience together with a wealth of knowledge of Fine Art and Specie. He has been responsible for placing a number of large, complex risks and established the first, broker exclusive, digital custody facility into Lloyd’s of London and the Specie market.

Christian brings over 20 years’ insurance industry experience, the majority of which have been spent in the Fine Art and Specie lines of business. He began his career at Marsh as an Account Handler before progressing to become a Broker. Christian has been a Fine Art underwriter at AXA Art Insurance as well as a Senior Broker at Lloyd & Partners Ltd, and immediately prior to joining Bretton Woods International led the Fine Art and Specie team at Aon for 11 years. With particular expertise in facility business for Fine Art and Jewellery, as well as a track record in large risk bespoke open market placements, Christian brings a wealth of specialist experience to this niche area of the market.
Contingency and Over Redemption
Biography
Robert has 30 years’ experience as both a broker and underwriter in the London insurance market, specialising in all classes of contingent risk within the contingency market. Robert has been responsible for placing and underwriting large and complex contingent risks during his career.
In 2024 Robert joined Bretton Woods International, a division of Novatae Risk Group, where he will expand their contingency business in the North American, UK and international markets.

Chris has 30 years’ experience working in the consumer electronic market in Europe and North America bringing extensive knowledge on what drives sales and predicting consumer spending habits. In the last 10 years Chris has placed some of the largest risk managed promotions into the Lloyd’s market with some of the world’s largest brands. Chris recently joined Bretton Woods International, a division of Novatae Risk Group, where he will expand their direct contingency business, focusing on sales promotional risk within Europe and North America.
Technical and Claims
Biography
Josh joined Bretton Woods in 2018 bringing with him 2 years of London market and global reinsurance technical experience.
Josh works within the technical team and is currently leading efforts to further develop the analytic offerings of Bretton Woods whilst also handling reinsurance and binding authority business.

After beginning his Insurance Career in the London Market in September 2015, Harry joined Bretton Woods in February 2020 as a Binding Authority Technician bringing with him a wealth of experience in various Senior Technical and Broker Support roles across a breadth of classes including: Professional and General Liabilities, Casualty, Property, Bloodstock and Livestock as well as Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance in several territories across the globe.

Meaghan joined Bretton Woods in 2020 as a claims technician gaining experience in efficiently administering the processing of claims for Binding Authority and Open Market business. Meaghan went on to further develop her insurance expertise by joining the technical team, collaborating closely with the Brokers providing essential technical and administrative support.

Kara joined Bretton Woods in September 2022 as a Premium Processing Technician.
As a Premium Processing Technician Kara is involved in the review of all Premium received and the processing of the Premium onto the in-house broking system accurately & efficiently.
This includes all Binding Authority Premium Bordereaux, Lineslip Bordereaux reports & Open Market premiums.

Cameron joined Bretton Woods in 2019, bringing over a years’ experience working for a Lloyd’s broker and Lloyd’s syndicate previously. As a senior member of the claims team, Cameron is experienced in a variety of risks including Casualty, Property, E&O, Medical Malpractice and Contingency. Working closely with DCA managers, Claims Underwriters and ensuring the BWI Directors are kept up to date on claims business.

Kieran began his insurance career with Bretton Woods in 2022 after graduating with First Class Honours in Business and Finance at the University of Greenwich.
He has developed expertise in North American Non-Marine insurance claims ranging from Casualty, Medical and Contingency while working on Binders and Open Market Placements. He collaborates closely with BWI’s Brokers, TPAs, Lawyers and Underwriters to ensure the best outcome for our clients.

After graduating with a degree in Business and Finance at the University of Greenwich, Matt joined the company in April 2024 embarking on a promising career in Insurance. As a Claims Technician, Matt is involved in processing insurance claims efficiently and liaising with Underwriters and TPAs.

Lianne has worked in the City of London for over 30 years and started her career as Junior Secretary for Robert Fleming Insurance Brokers. After also working at 2 Lloyd’s underwriting syndicates -Wellington Underwriting and Ark Syndicate Management, she joined Bretton Woods in November 2019 as Executive Assistant.
